MEET OUR SHALA:
Our Yoga and Pilates Reformer studio is nestled
in the heart of an organic garden, surrounded by
palm trees and fruit trees.
Practicing here is a truly magical experience: there is a pond where ducks swim, and chickens roam freely throughout the garden, connecting you deeply with nature.
Hearing our little animals play and move around you adds a unique and special touch to each session.
The gentle dance of the palm trees swaying in the wind, the joyful songs of the birds, and the scent of the fruit trees make this place a true paradise.

WHAT IS YOGA?
Yoga is not merely a physical practice or a meditation technique, but a path toward the realization of the Self and unity with the Absolute.
Yoga means union, and its essential purpose is to free the individual from the ignorance that causes them to identify with the body and mind, instead of their true nature, which is eternal, pure, and complete.
From the perspective of Vedānta, here are some key insights about yoga:
1. Yoga as union with the Absolute:
Yoga is the process of realizing that we are not the body, the mind, or the ego, but the Self—identical to the Absolute, the supreme reality.
It is not about achieving something new, but about recognizing what we already are by removing the layers of illusion.
2. The means of yoga to purify the mind and attain supreme knowledge:
Study, self-inquiry, deep meditation and mental discipline, devotion, complete surrender to the Divine as a way to transcend the ego, and selfless action—acting without attachment to the results—purify the heart and make it ready for true knowledge.
3. Knowledge as liberation (mokṣa):
Vedānta teaches that true yoga culminates in liberating knowledge: “Tat Tvam Asi” (“You are That”).
It is not a fleeting experience, but a radical transformation in self-understanding.
4. Silence, contemplation, and detachment:
The yogic practitioner seeks equanimity, detachment, introspection, and inner silence as tools to recognize the truth of the Self.
OUR CLASSES:
At Paikea México, we offer private and semi-private classes for all students—beginners, intermediate, and advanced.
We provide a variety of styles and formats, adapting each class to the individual needs of our clients.
We offer the following practices:
1. ASANA YOGA (postures and movement)
2. MEDITATION (silence, contemplation, and presence)
3. KNOWLEDGE (introspection, reflection, and transformation)
1. ASANA YOGA (postures and movement)
Vinyasa flow: it is the practice of placing yoga postures in sequence, fluidly and synchronized with breathing,
Each movement is performed with a specific inhalation or exhalation, creating a continuous flow of movement and breath.
It is one of the most popular types of yoga today because it is super aerobic and you sweat a lot, and without a doubt the most fun!
Hatha: it is a more static type of yoga, the practice is a little slow, it focuses mainly on maintaining the posture while doing breathing exercises.
Restorative: it is a type of therapeutic yoga, its purpose is to rest the nervous system. It is done through soft and passive asanas (postures), peaceful and relaxed. Allows for deep relaxation while holding poses for longer periods of time with the help of accessories that fully support you. The main focus of Restorative Yoga is that by relaxing in postures, with the help of accessories, without tension or pain, we can achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation.

2. MEDITATION (silence, contemplation, and presence)
In this class, we will practice silence and deep connection with nature. Meditation is held at sunrise or sunset to receive the healing energy of the sun.
We begin with a silent walk along the shore, lasting approximately 15 minutes, practicing contemplation and conscious breathing. Then, we’ll ascend to a viewpoint overlooking the sunrise or sunset, where we will sit in stillness to meditate for 45 minutes facing the sun.
During the meditation, we will practice techniques for mental control and deep relaxation.
The return walk follows the same path, also in silence, allowing us to attentively observe the difference between the journey out and the journey back—noticing how our perception has shifted after inhabiting the silence.

3. KNOWLEDGE (Introspection, reflection, and transformation)
In this class, we focus on the student’s personal coaching, using
precise questions and introspective tools to explore where they are
on their yogic path.
Through the knowledge of the Self, we help dissolve the ignorance that generates suffering and attachment. This process allows the release of internal limitations and creates space for a more conscious and fulfilling life.
Here, we guide the student to remember who they truly are and to realign with their essential nature.
From this clarity, it becomes possible to purify fears, reclaim inner sovereignty, and live from the integrity of the Self.
Through introspection, we identify limiting beliefs, repetitive patterns, and self-destructive behaviors that block peace, fulfillment, and freedom.
This session is devoted to illuminating inner truth, allowing for deep transformation—a return to one's essence.
We explore the foundational principles for living a life in alignment with the Self: a life of truth, freedom, and presence.
The core purpose is to liberate the individual from the ignorance that causes them to identify with the body and mind, instead of their true nature—which is eternal, pure, and whole.
